Welcome, Friend!

I’m Becca from The Teacher Rewrite.

I help High School ELA teachers implement engaging ELA resources while staying organized, so they can find time to reignite their passion and reclaim their weekends without having to rewrite their curriculum.

You know why you became an English teacher. I bet you wanted to build relationships with students and you love reading books of course! Maybe you had that teacher in your life that inspired you and you want to have that same impact with your students. Or maybe you wish everyone will love reading as much as you do. Whatever your why is for teaching, that passion is what motivates you every day you enter your classroom.

And friend, you need that passion because there is so much that can stand in your way as a teacher: lesson plans, grading (oh the grading!), standardized testing, and so many standards. With so much to do, thinking about what to do with your kiddos can be draining and time-consuming. And it still never feels like enough!

Let me share my passion for English Language Arts curriculum with you so you can focus on your love of teaching.

As a high school English teacher with over ten years of experience, I know what that teacher burnout can feel like. I’ve had those moments where I felt overwhelmed, exhausted, and stressed. But that passion for teaching is what keeps taking me back every day, every week, and every year.

I started The Teacher ReWrite because no matter how hard it may seem some days, I love teaching and creating. And I want other teachers to fuel their passion too! I want to support you with an engaging English Language Arts curriculum so that you feel energized about going to work each day.

Want to know what I love about teaching? Writing and rewriting my curriculum! More importantly, I love the relationships I build with my students. Truly, I want them to leave my classroom feeling like English isn’t so bad after all. The best way I know how to do that is with exciting lessons that look cool too. But these English teacher resources are not just pretty pages, they deliver on content.

Let me do what I love and share my passion for rewriting curriculum with you so you can focus on your love of teaching.
